Leadership Series

Effective Communication
This workshop showcases ten effective tips that will insure each student's voice can and will be heard. For example: Speak with Passion

“Believe in what you say, so much that you would bet your savings on it. I know it sounds out there, but we all know those people who talk just to hear themselves speak. Do you believe what they say… I don’t. You have to believe that what you are speaking about matters.”
- Kim Duncan -Texas A & M Univ., Corpus Christi

Leadership Styles

This workshop highlights 8 different leadership styles which includes:

  • Charismatic
  • Quiet
  • Servant
  • Transactional
  • Transformational
  • Participative
  • Situational
  • Collaborative
  • Which one are you?
We are familiar with Chuck Norris’ style of leadership. He is the “less talk, more action to get the job done” kind of man. Is that how all leaders should be? You decide.

“This highly comical and easy listening workshop deals with different leadership styles that opened my mind to what true leadership really is.” -Rosie -New Jersey, NCSL Conference

This program highlights five mandatory steps to graduate. This program was developed with every college freshman in mind. Consider this program your roadmap to graduation!

"As an incoming freshman I found myself overwhelmed by having to make my own decisions about everything from academics to my social life.  This program provided a road map for academic success, while still being able to enjoy college life.  It should be a pre-requisite for all incoming freshman."  Sharon- Student- Louisiana Tech

      Hazing

Hazing is still at epidemic levels on college campuses. Students are dying each year and chapters are being kicked off campus. This program shows Greeks the effects of hazing and how any one of their members could be responsible for ending dynasties. Hazing is thought to “build brotherhood”, and has been a generational right of passage for many decades, but there are better and more importantly, legal , alternatives. CHI showcases those alternatives.

"Hazing caused my fraternity to have its chapter suspended on campus,it was senseless disregard for the rules by a few that made many suffer.  Fraternities are about brotherhood and responsibility and hazing clearly does not foster responsibility."  -Kevin- Greek Student- MSU

Hazing is no longer just a male Greek epidemic. Sororities, too, are now just as prone to be removed for acts of hazing as fraternities. This program highlights what some national Greek women ‘s organization’s by-laws state about hazing and how the by-laws can be used to dissolve chapters.

“Hazing is not tolerated anymore and sororities will recognize that or they won’t be active. No Exceptions!” -Kim Leeds- Greek Adv. LA Tech
