Mediation: the path to resolution

The Campus Harmony, Inc. program helps student leaders to hone their skills in mediation as an essential element of peacemaking, not as a rote action or pretence. Mediators act as impartial facilitators, or "harmonizers", who draw from facilitative, transformative and evaluative models in conflict resolution.

Student Leadership Mediation

Schools of all sizes and types must encourage student leadership and Campus Harmony, Inc. is there to help.  Only through the mediation of student leaders can individuals with various, often conflicting goals and interests work together in peaceful resolution.  While leadership is a quality, it is also a skill that can be identified and enhanced through the encouragement of proper choices.

Campus Harmony, Inc. promotes community mediation as the constructive process in conflict resolution between individuals, groups and organizations of all kinds. Community mediation empowers people in conflict by giving them control over their disputes and a means to resolve them besides avoidance, violence, destructive confrontation, or prolonged, expensive litigation. The harmony of a community relies on preserving individual interests while strengthening relationships between people and groups.
