ESP/PIE™ 501c(3) Leadership
Introduction
The ESP/PIE™ Program operates as a 501c(3). Its innovative Curriculum program seeks to instill vital life-skills in at-risk students in inner city high schools through nine interactive modules. Each module is synonymous with a slice of the American pie. Therefore the program is called Every Student Shares the PIE (Positive Image Education) or ESP/PIE™!
The organization’s mission is to increase students’ knowledge of leadership, conflict resolution, the ability to form and maintain healthy relationships and to provide the tools for improving personal image and through character development, all in one program. This program addresses the root causes of anger and conflict, communications and relationship issues, low self esteem and diversity/sensitivity and provides a pathway for students to utilize. This program will strengthen the school’s entire "social infrastructure" while reflecting a positive, friendly culture in both substance and form! We combine campus student leadership development and image and character development with the critical skills of conflict resolution.
ESP/PIE™ is a two-tiered initiative, with the first tier being that of educating the inner city, high school youth using the PIE Curriculum. The second tier is an intrinsic part of the program which calls for community service on the part of the high school youths to reach back and train students from a junior high school and an elementary school located in their inner city area. Thereby allowing Every Student to Share the PIE! The junior high and elementary components are value laden with special emphasis on image building and character development, identifying the need to start young with teaching the skills.

Program's Vision
Our staff seeks to train inner-city high school youth using the ESP/PIE™ program curriculum modules. Our staff is coordinating with area high schools to partner with and teach high school students and in turn have high school students partner with and train 6th grade students from their area elementary schools. We seek to have at least one high school and one elementary school as ESP/PIE™ Partners in each of the inner city districts.
