The “Campus Harmonizer” Certification is our Signature Education Program. The certification is a highly interactive training program in student leadership. This program is uniquely tailored for each college campus to maximize the impact of the training. We do a pre-assessment to determine major areas of emphasis.

Communications: Open communication, non-verbal communication and empathic listening

Student leaders often think of communication only in terms of verbal and written exchanges, but open communication requires much more. A good leader uses body language, tone and facial expressions to provide continuous, encouraging feedback. Good leaders must employ empathic listening, in which they understand what others say on personal, emotional and cultural levels.

Students identify strengths and weaknesses of their personal communication styles in this session’s group exercises. Students explore adapting their communication style to fit the situation.

The workshop provides instruction on how to overcome communication barriers and how to communicate effectively between groups and organizations.

Highlights of this program:

* Emphasis on non-verbal communication.

* Emphasis on “speaking” through listening.

* Recognizing the role of all parties in open communication.

* Understanding the role of open communication in leadership, mediation, appreciation of diversity, team building and conflict resolution.
